Financial Crisis Questions...What happens if a major employer in our community has mass layoffs?  What happens if Portage County's governmental and nonprofit resources are depleted by sheer demand? 

National Public Radio had a segment about housing foreclosures.  Could we as a community bundle together foreclosed homes into one big mortgage, and then allow the former homeowners continue to live in those homes under co-op ownership?  (Or maybe rent to re-own?)  Here is a newsletter article on this topic (it is brief).
